Hard working and reliable family sought for a fantastic domestic couple position in Berkshire. Responsible for the day to day running of the house and grounds this is a Monday to Saturday role with some flexibility to work over time or on weekends and evenings. You will responsible to manage and complete all tasks as needed.
This is a new position and the Principals are looking for a couple who they can create an established role where everyone is happy long term so must show longevity in there past roles.
Housekeeper
Overall tasks are general cleaning (meaning detailed dusting, hovering, tidying and keeping all kitchen appliances clean), organising, laundry (in home washing and care of fine fabric, hand washing all necessary, also separate and deal with what needs to go to the laundry, organising for pick up, delivery, checking quality of service done and dealing with any problems), ironing, starching and steaming, unpacking travel luggage and organising what needs ironing, what needs washing, managing in the wardrobes. There will also be a part time housekeeper to assist
They have 2 children one at home and one weekly boarding so you will need to assist Mum with school runs and meal preparations etc
The family also entertain alot and so must be confident in the kitchen,will need to help in the preparation of meals and the clearing down , you will be also responsible for greeting guests, and preparing the area for the events. Experience in preparing and cooking healthy nutritious food is a bonus.
Gardener and Maintenance
One side will be responsible for the household and garden maintenance ensuring all facilities are attended to and working properly, including the outdoor swimming pool and liaising with contractors for all maintenance issues. The household consists of lawns which will require attention and you will oversee the general garden maintenance. Other duties will include occasional driving duties, running errands, and ad hoc tasks.
Accommodation: A self-contained cottage will be provided for the right couple. The cottage is separate from the main house and been recently renovated with all modern appliances. All bills paid.
The ideal candidates will have experience in a similar role. They will have a friendly, helpful and have good management skills , and will take the stress away from running the household. One side must have their driver’s license and both must be child/animal friendly and have experience working with children.

Days: 5 1/2 days a week, some weekends on/off and evenings
Hours: 45 hours per week – flexible hours
DBS Check will be required
3 dogs and 3 cats so must be animal friendly.
